The Lean Mean Gaming Machines

Addition Man

1st Annual Globaloria STEM Games Competition Finalist

1.STEM GAME CONCEPT

GAME PITCH

  • Learning Topic (What subject and specific learning concept does your game cover? Our subject is math, and we cover addition.)
  • Audience (Who are you designing your game for, and why? Be specific. Our game targets kids in kindergarten through 2nd grade, because we think everyone should have a game to play and not just target people our age. )
  • Game Play (What does the player see and do? What are the rules and how do you win? What is the goal of the game? The player sees a super hero, which kids their age love, and they save the Town of Iaeger from trouble while learning addition. The rules are simple, don't hit the planes, birds or wrong answer, hit the right answer and collect the coin at the end of each level, and just have fun playing the game. The goal is to teach kids addition and to save Iaeger from trouble.)
  • Fun Factor (What makes your game fun for the player? The fact that you can fly and that you have lazer eye vision that you can shoot makes the game fun.)
  • Smart Factor (What does your game teach? What can someone learn by playing it? Our game teaches hand eye coordination and addition, and you learn just that and you can get better with the addition portion of math.)
  • Style Factor (What kind of graphic/animation style will you use? What kind of sounds? Well our game has a super hero so we will draw our super hero in flash and hope it turns out good. We want our sounds to be simple but good, have music playing, and when you get a question right or wrong a way to go or try again etc.)
  • Originality Factor (What makes your game special and unique? Why will it sell? What makes our game unique is the fact that we came up with the idea on our own, the town of Iaeger is the place where we go to school, and the colors of Addition Man are colors of the two high schools that are consilidating Iaeger and Big Creek High School. It will sell, because a lot of people want their kids to learn at younger ages and an educational video game will help a lot.)
  • Team Introduction (Names and roles of team members: Alexis: Project Manager, Dustin: Artist, Brittney: Sound,Rebecka: Coding)
